– Analytical Development Biologicals (ADB)
– Bioprocess Development Biologicals (BDB)
– Clinical Supply and Transfer (CSB)
• The BDC will become an important building block in the global development of active ingredients for biopharmaceutical active ingredients.
• The new building complex houses three development units that can produce quantities of active ingredients from laboratory scale to clinical phases I and II.
• Boehringer-Ingelheim will create more than 500 jobs at the Biberach / Riss location.
• Investment: 320 m Euro
80 % of the project has been completed when the board of directors had to realize that due to quality and resource problems with suppliers, we had to extend the project schedule by minimum 1 year and to increase the budget.
The board decided to save costs by terminating all external resources and to hand over the project to a new PMO organization.
