Project Description
As an experienced project manager, I have successfully led the modernization efforts of SWB’s waste-to-energy plant in Bremen/Firndorf, which has been a cornerstone of the community for over 100 years. With a commitment to enhancing energy efficiency and reducing pollution, I oversee a portfolio of 11 significant projects aimed at bringing the facility up to date with the latest technology.
In my role, I serve as the technical and commercial lead throughout the full lifecycle of construction, ensuring that each project is completed on time, within budget, and with a strong focus on safety. My responsibilities include:
• Effective Communication: Collaborating seamlessly with colleagues, management, architects, engineers, external contractors, and regulatory agencies to foster a cohesive working environment.
• Project Management: Juggling multiple projects simultaneously, from the modernization of flue gas lines and fire extinguishing systems for day bunkers to the automation of waste acceptance and the renewal of ash silos.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring that all upgrades and optimizations adhere to the stringent requirements set forth by the 17th BImSchV.
Through strategic planning and meticulous organization, I drive projects that not only improve operational efficiency but also align with SWB’s mission of sustainability and innovation in waste management.
The Managing Director at SWB informed me in late October that my contract will conclude at the end of this year. Due to the recent cessation of another major project, the current project owner will assume my responsibilities moving forward.
